You’d never guess that Katherine scares people. But when s*** goes wrong on a large scale and an expert is needed to figure out what happened, Katherine is bought in and then some people do get scared, while governments, law-makers and heads of business get the answers and solutions they demand.
Recent appearances include the Royal Commission on Crown Casino, Frocktober 2021 and fluid painting classes at Live For Art in Richmond.
Katherine’s style journey started with decluttering but found that after getting rid of thousands of dollars’ worth of stuff, she ended up in exactly the same place as she was before the last big declutter. It actually felt worse each time she repeated this pattern; it was such a waste.
But shopping felt like the only thing she knew how to do when grappling with her changing identity.
However, not only is shopping limited to the style of the day instead of her personal flair, but the new clothes she bought weren’t a fit with the more experienced and senior woman she now is.
Trying to convey power and seniority in an increasingly casualised environment and not end up looking like an intern, is hard.
In a world where men can turn up in jeans and a hoodie and hold rank, for most women of a middle age, that is a disaster and really not even comfortable for them.
So we embarked on a consultation process to pull Katherine’s personality out to the front and build her practical, comfortable, “I am an expert” style on that.
“I used to buy things because I liked one bit of it, like the print for example, but not the cut and it basically fitted me. So effectively I settled for 30% ‘fine’ and 70% ‘not fine’ but thought, ‘Well, that’s as good as it gets…’.
“That was until I started working with Susan.
“I now have a better understanding of the power of dressing but also know that it doesn’t have to be uncomfortable.. and best of all, I get to wear my personality and flair in a practical, thoughtful and sustainable way.”
